Creating Wellness Lifestyle
Do you feel lost in the advertisements for weight loss and pharmaceutical drugs? Eat this, not that. Take this, not that. Enough!
Have you tried multiple times to lose weight, lower your blood pressure, eat healthier, or just plain feel better and it hasn’t worked? You are not alone.
Most people try to do this on their own without the proper knowledge or tools. Making these changes are life altering decisions that require an understanding of what exactly you are trying to accomplish and why, how exactly are you going to do it, and then doing it.
The Creating Wellness Lifestyle is unique because it is not a diet you go on and off. It is your new life, your new habits.
Good habits that create a positive lifestyle change that will ultimately set you up to enjoy the rest of your life not worrying about what drug you have to take or what diet you have to start tomorrow.
You Are Your Habits
Every day you make decisions that will move you in a direction either towards wellness and away from illness or toward illness and away from wellness. These decisions, most times, are made based upon your experience, your upbringing, and your habits.
The Creating Wellness approach is unique because it examines the way you live: your influences, your lifestyle habits, in an effort to determine what needs to be addressed to affect a positive lifestyle change. What kind of exercises to do and what kind of foods to eat are very important aspects of improving your health, however, the biggest hurdle to reclaiming your life is usually the behavioral patterns you have created… your habits.
We Evaluate Your Current Habits
Evaluating your current lifestyle habits is composed of two parts. The first part is the assessment of the key factors that determine your health in all three dimensions, that is physical (exercise), bio-chemical (nutrition and supplementation) and psychological (what stresses you have and how you deal with them). The second part is your evaluation of how you think you are doing. Being able to compare how you think you are doing and how you are actually doing is a very important part of understanding why you may not be achieving the level of wellness that you desire. These two components are assessed using state-of-the-art technology and a comprehensive Lifestyle Questionnaire.
The Creating Wellness Lifestyle Questionnaire covers a variety of your lifestyle habits ranging from how organized you think your home is to how much water you drink each day. The assessment is a non-invasive evaluation of the following factors:
- Weight
- Nervous system function
- Girth
- Blood Pressure
- Resting Heart Rate
- Lung Capacity
- Body Fat Percentage
- Computerized Stress Response
- Strength
- Posture
This evaluation allows us to identify in what areas you are doing well and what areas need some improvement. We are then able to focus on the specific needs that must be met in order for you to increase your level of wellness in all three dimensions.
Wellness Quotient
The computerized calculation of your physical, bio-chemical, and psychological habits as determined by the Creating Wellness Assessment and Lifestyle Questionnaire is your Wellness Quotient.
The Wellness Quotient number shows where you are on the Wellness Continuum. The wellness continuum is broken up into different categories: Very Challenged, Challenged, Transition, Good, and Excellent.
A wellness quotient of 100 is considered average whereas a wellness quotient below 100 indicates that you are aging before your time.
