Meet the Team at Family Chiropractic of Fairfax: A Creating Wellness Center

Jo, Office Manager

JoMy name is Jo and I’m the office manager at this exciting chiropractic and wellness center.

For almost 20 years I’ve not only been an office manager but also a chiropractic patient.  So I truly believe in the work I do, trying to keep such an important health care facility working properly and efficiently. I am very involved with the behind the scenes, day to day operations of the office, which would not be possible without the help of our friendly and efficient staff. Working in an environment where doctors are helping people reach their optimum health goals in a safe and natural way is what I love about my job.

In my spare time I enjoy walking, movies, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Kathy, Chiropractic Assistant

KathyHi!  My name is Kathy.  I am the mother of 4 daughters and the grandmother of 5.  I am in my fourth year at the Family Chiropractic Center.  I do therapies, develop x-rays and deal with insurance companies. (ugh)  So, when you come to our office I may be helping to take care of you!

I have had chiropractic care for about 30 years.  My children have had chiropractic adjustments since they were quite small and I have to say they were healthier than most of the kids they went to school with.

We have two doctors in our office: Dr. Gary Dennis and Dr. Lisa Przybysz.

Dr. Dennis has been in practice for over 25 years.  He is great with patients.  He takes the time to sit with them and go over issues, explain their treatment plan and goals and answer any questions they may have.  I am always amazed by what he knows, not just about chiropractic but all types of medical issues.

Dr. Lisa has been a wonderful addition to our practice.  She is a graduate of Life University of Georgia.  Dr. Lisa has a special interest in chiropractic care for children and mothers to be.  She has also recently published an article about chiropractic care and children with ADHD.

What's most exciting is we have been certified as a Creating Wellness Center!  Our Wellness coach will teach you, if you are interested, in the three dimensions of wellness: physical, biochemical and psychological.  She can perform an evaluation in all of these areas then help guide you in being the best you can be!

We are on a first name basis here.  When you come to see us, you will not only be given the best of care, you will also become a part of our family.

I can't imagine a nicer place to work.  It is so rewarding to see a patient walk out of our office feeling wonderful after entering the first time in so much pain and understanding the importance of chiropractic in their daily life.

Come see us!

Beth, Insurance Coordinator

BethHello, my name is Beth and I have been an insurance coordinator with Family Chiropractic of Fairfax for four years. I’m fluent in English and Spanish, so any questions that you might have regarding insurance, your first visit, or the treatment that you will receive I will do my best to get answers for you.

Through chiropractic adjustments, I’ve seen patients develop better posture, decrease pain and inflammation and create a better quality of life.

I enjoy working at Family Chiropractic of Fairfax because of its friendly atmosphere and the relationships that I develop with the patients. I look forward to greeting you!

Zibby, Creating Wellness Center Director

ZibbyHi, my name is Zibby and I am the newest addition to the Family chiropractic staff.  As the Creating Wellness Center Director, I perform all of the wellness evaluations and weekly coaching sessions as well as teach a Wellness Care class to all of our new patients.

I was a stay-at-home mom for 18 years, raising three sons and one daughter, who are all now college-age and older.  During that time, I was very active in developing youth activity programs at the country club where my children learned to swim and play tennis and golf.

While my work background is primarily in business—marketing, sales and operations—I have always led a very active lifestyle and been an advocate of health and wellness.  I also have extensive coaching experience in swimming and in a business call center.

Nine years ago, I came to Family Chiropractic Center as a patient because I was suffering from neck, back and shoulder pain that was seriously interfering with many of  the activities I love—tennis, skiing, water skiing, roller blading, biking and golf.  After a couple of months of acute care, I was back to all my activities, off of the anti-inflammatory medication I had relied on for years, and feeling great.  To this day, with regular chiropractic care and a healthy lifestyle, I continue to enjoy all of the activities that are so important to me.

I love being a part of the Creating Wellness system here at Family Chiropractic because it gives me the opportunity to build relationships with our patients, educate them in how to take an active role in their wellness, support them in facing their challenges and celebrate in their victories.  I look forward to helping you and your family achieve a better level of health and supporting you as you develop healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Paula, Insurance and Billing

PaulaMy name is Paula, another proud member of the Family Chiropractic of Fairfax team.  When I’m not in the office posting payments and electronically filing insurance claims, I am a mother of three very active teenage girls and a wife.  All my girls play basketball and so I spend a lot of my free time transporting them to the gym for either practices or games.  My favorite hobbies include Sudoku, reading fiction and enjoying the company of friends and family. My goal this year is to start my own vegetable garden.

Since working at FCC of Fairfax, I have observed many patients improve their mobility and their lifestyle.  It is so exciting to see! The Wellness Center has truly been a blessing to me and I’ve tried to incorporate many of the things I’ve learned into my daily life.  It has truly been an honor to be here and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Nancy, Office Assistant

NancyI read on a bumper sticker once, “Try not to become a man of success but a man of value.” (Albert Einstein) It was like a light bulb moment for me. Even if I succeed, the importance of it all is what I get out of it. That was when I decided that I needed a job. To learn how to work with other people and step out of my comfort zone, as well as to learn from the experience.

Hi, my name is Nancy. As soon as I heard from my cousin Beth that they were looking for someone at the chiropractor’s office in Fairfax, I quickly jumped at the opportunity. I am a full time high school student, taking rigorous A.P. classes, being an active member of my congregational church, and working a part-time job. It isn’t as easy as it sounds. With many responsibilities come time management, and whole-hearted persistence. But I feel very grateful because I know that with these responsibilities I will be able to grow, and mature, with a brighter future with all of the lessons I learn at the office. This also amounts to a lot of stress on my part, but the wonderful thing is that it all dissipates, all because of the wonderful people I am surrounded by.

I respect my co-workers because they are very serious with what they do, and how they do it, either working with patients or handling paper work. I heard someone say in the office that you can never say “I forgot” because that can measure up to the boss “forgetting” to give you your pay check. I’ve learned so much in a short time about the necessity of chiropractic adjustments for the body. As well as the importance of taking care of one’s body through Creative Wellness.

Einstein is absolutely right: value is more important then success, because from value you learn more than what you achieve.
