Extremity Adjustments

If the nerves that go to your arms, hands, legs and feet are not receiving and relaying the proper amount of information to and from your brain, the muscles, ligaments, and bony structures of those areas will not function as optimally as they could.

Doctor holding womans arm outYour spinal column was designed to allow for movement in your body but at the same time protect your spinal cord and nervous system. When subluxations occur (misalignment of the bones of the spine putting pressure on the nerves) they affect your entire nervous system. Your nervous system controls all that you do, think and feel, including the way your muscles react.

Eventually, both the soft tissues and bones are damaged by micro-trauma, which can eventually lead to pain, discomfort and other symptoms related to common ailments of the extremities.

Several of our daily activities affect the way our extremities work. Things like computer and mouse use, carrying small children, car accidents, sports injuries, slip and fall accidents, heavy lifting, yard work, and painting are just a few every day things that we do that can cause or aggravate pain in our extremities.

We look to your spine to find and correct subluxations, but we also check all of your extremities to make sure their structure is in proper alignment as well. We check and adjust, as needed, your hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, jaw, ankles, feet, and knees.

Several types of injuries and ailments can be helped with chiropractic adjustments of your spine and extremities: Arthritis, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, rotator cuff tears, TMJ issues, ligament and meniscus injuries of the knee, bursitis, tendinitis, and fallen arches respond well to extremity adjustments without drugs or surgery.
